All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Peter knew persecution firsthand. Beaten and jailed, Peter had been threatened as he explains that trials will refine our faith. Peter means Rock given to him by Jesus. As in (Mat 16:18 NKJV) “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Peter is credited with being a leader of the twelve disciples whom Jesus called, His name always occurs first in the list of disciples. As in (Mark 3:16 NKJV) Simon, to whom He gave the name Peter; (Luke 6:14 NKJV) Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; (Mat 10:2 NKJV) Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
They all gathered together in one accord at the temple daily as they spent much time in prayer and broke bread and went to house to house. In (Acts 2:46 NKJV) So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, v47 praising God and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. Peter was used of the Lord to achieve a major breakthrough in the progress of the gospel, namely leading Cornelius to Christ.
Peter’s weakness was his mouth all ways getting him into trouble as in (Mat 16:22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!"
His strengths lie in making mistakes and learning by them he became bold for the Lord. As in 1Peter How we can learn through hardship it is not to give up. Trust in God Spending time with God, in fellowship with the body of Christ sharing with each other. Peter inspired me how to walk with Christ no matter how bad the situation may be. At all times pray without ceasing For Jesus’ is with us always and will never leave us alone in a storm.

Paul was an intelligent, articulate and committed to his calling he presented the gospel clearly and forthrightly. Growing up in a Jewish family meant that Paul was well trained in the Jewish Scriptures and tradition as in (Acts 26:4-8 NKJV) “My manner of life from my youth, which was spent from the beginning among my own nation at Jerusalem, all the Jews know. {5} "They knew me from the first, if they were willing to testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. {6} "And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers. {7} "To this promise our twelve tribes, earnestly serving God night and day, hope to attain. For this hope's sake, King Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews. {8} "Why should it be thought incredible by you that God raises the dead? And (Phil 3:5-6 NKJV) circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; {6} concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
Paul spent time in missionary journeys from Paphos, to Perga in Pamphylia; and John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem. (A.D.46-48) in (Acts13:14) (AD. 49-52) he departed from Antioch with Silas as his associate. (Acts 15:36 NKJV) Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing." (Acts 18:18 NKJV) So Paul still remained a good while. Then he took leave of the brethren and sailed for Syria, and Priscilla and Aquilia were with him. He had his hair cut off at Cenchrea, for he had taken a vow. Paul went to Philippi in the province of Macedonia; Philippi was a Roman city with no synagogue and a minimal Jewish population. Paul established a church there. His third missionary venture (A.D. 52-57) centred in the city of Ephesus from which the gospel probably spread into the surrounding cities such as the seven churches in Revelation. (Acts 18:23-20:6; Rev.2-3) Saul of Tarsus was converted to the Lord as he made his way to Damascus Paul who is named Saul thinking he is doing God a favour as he went about killing all the disciples as in (Acts 8:3 NKJV) As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. God changed his character and chose him in going on missions. His strength lies in his intelligent, articulate tradition. How we can learn through hardship is not to give up. Paul learnt to trust in God. That He will bring us through as our attitudes begin to take shape in the knowledge of God. As we spend time with God in fellowship with the body of Christ sharing with each other. Paul inspired me how to walk with Christ no matter how bad the situation may be. At all times pray with out ceasing. For Jesus is with us always and will never leave us alone in a storm.
