Parable of the Wedding Banquet (Matthew 22:1-14) - NIV

1. God speaks to us through moral stories. (V.1)

2. Christ the groom,  invites his bride the church,  to be one with him. (V.2)

3. God sends his messengers and calls his people to be unified with him, but is faced by rejection (V.3) 

4. God prepares an elaborate blessing for his people and constantly invites us to be yoked with him (V.4)

5. God's people rebuff his word. (V.5)

6. God's people resort to ill treatment and murder of his servants. (V.6)

7. God will avenge the death of his saints. (V.7)

8. Rejection of God's word leads to rejection by God. (V.8)

9. God will choose others to be part of him. (V.9)

10. God will fill his feast with both called and ignored people. (V.10)

11. God expects the robe of righteousness as the entry ticket to his kingdom. (V.11,12)

12. God filters his invitees as per his standards. (V.13,14)
