It is time to get rid of the old wine skin an the old wine. And bring forth new wineskin and the new wine . We cannot mix in both the law and grace. You cannot contain in your heart the law with grace. Because it always going to be a struggle. After all the law reminds you of your sin. As the word of God says in Romans 7:7- So what are we going to say? That the Law is sin? Absolutely not! But I wouldn’t have known sin except through the Law. I wouldn’t have known the desire for what others have if the Law had not said, Don’t desire to take what others have. The law was to point us to God. As the word of God says in Galatians 3:19- Well then, why were the laws given? They were added after the promise was given, to show men how guilty they are of breaking God’s laws. But this system of law was to last only until the coming of Christ, the Child to whom God’s promise was made. (And there is this further difference. God gave his laws to angels to give to Moses, who then gave them to the people; So if we are constantly living by the law. We are going to be like God says those who live by circumcision. It will only be our work for the outside. But you have to remember that God looks at the heart. ANd the person who is a real spiritual jew is the one who heart has been changed by the Spirit of the Living God. It is his circumcison on the cross that changes us on the inside. As the word of God says in Romans 2:29- No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise[a] from God, not from people. And also this Colossians 2:11- When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. I am afraid that people are trusting in the law and doing their own works. And we are the ones walking around wounded and bleeding from all our EFFORts. Perfect example is 1 King 18:27-
About noontime Elijah began mocking them. “You’ll have to shout louder,” he scoffed, “for surely he is a god! Perhaps he is daydreaming, or is relieving himself.[a] Or maybe he is away on a trip, or is asleep and needs to be wakened!”
28 So they shouted louder, and following their normal custom, they cut themselves with knives and swords until the blood gushed out.29 They raved all afternoon until the time of the evening sacrifice, but still there was no sound, no reply, no response. We don't have to work for our salvation There is a reason why God said in Isaiah 54:1 - “Sing, O childless woman,
you who have never given birth!
Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem,
you who have never been in labor.
For the desolate woman now has more children
than the woman who lives with her husband,”
says the Lord. Remember what Paul said in Romans 7. That we use to be married to the law. As the word of God says in Romans 7:2-
For example, when a woman marries, the law binds her to her husband as long as he is alive. But if he dies, the laws of marriage no longer apply to her. 3 So while her husband is alive, she would be committing adultery if she married another man. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and does not commit adultery when she remarries.
4 So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. The New wine is entering in the marriage with all the joys of the Spirit. Like Jesus show us in John 2:1-13 (You have to read that yourself please). Our life is to receiving the new life through new wine skin. As the wod of God say in Romans 7:6- But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit. Tha'st why we are always being satisfy because it is giving us true nourishment. As the word of God says in Isaiah 55:1- “Is anyone thirsty?
Come and drink—
even if you have no money!
Come, take your choice of wine or milk—
it’s all free!
2 Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength?
Why pay for food that does you no good?
Listen to me, and you will eat what is good.
You will enjoy the finest food. Hey I am still learning myself. But I believe that Jesus is granting me a spirit of wisdom and revealtion to see the real truth of the gosepl.God bless you all in Jesus Name. AMen

The problem I have with Tawny's statement is not about the Old /New Wine Skins, it is about the 10 Commandments being abolished.
I thought I explained the letter of the law and the spirit of the law? The law is written upon our hearts and in our minds....it is not abolished.
I've never talked about good works, you have. I'm talking about the 10 Commandments being abolished...[again].
I didn't say anything about Tawny saying that a new life will be absent of good works? Where did I say that?
Please read what I wrote. I have issue with the 10 Commandments and the fact that both of you are saying that they are abolished. This is simply not true.
You are not even discussing what I've posted in my replies below regarding the 10 Commandments, it isn't even mentioned in your reply???? So yes...I'm still confused and fuzzy regarding both of your responses.
Again, you cannot mix error with Truth.
I believe Tawny has limited access to the site, and I'm not speaking for her, but what I see in what she has presented is exactly the same as what you have quoted,
I did say she had some good points....but mixing it in with some untruth...I am concerned. It brings in a plethora of confusing points. So no, she didn't present exactly what I quoted. She claims in both this blog and another one that the 10 Commandments are no longer valid, they've been abolished, this is not true according to God's Word. I reject this completely. You cannot mix error with Truth, otherwise it's no longer Truth.
Matthew 5:17-Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
If you take a look at the original Greek word for fulfil, it actually means "to bring full meaning" or to "exalt". God's Law, the one that is written on our hearts and in our minds.
You are right in saying that we are no longer under the penalty of the Law if we are born again.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 8:1-2 .....'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.'
The 10 Commandments were not abolished. What is sin? It is missing the mark. Well....what is missing the mark? Falling short....well what is falling short? Back to the first question, what is sin? If we do not have the 10 Commandments how do you know that you've sinned? How do you know that you are in rebellion to God?
The Spirit of the letter: Romans 7:6 .....'But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.'
Serve in the newness of the spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. Jesus said that even if you lust in your heart you are committing adultery. Even if you have anger in your heart its sin. This is in the New Testament...
You have stated rightly, that we follow the commands of God out of love for Him. Personally, I have never known a soul who will try to follow the commands of God without love for Him, never. Sure I know people who might say this and that feels wrong without being saved, but they will never attempt to follow all of His commands just because & honestly they wouldn't be able to without the Holy Spirit.
Heb 9:6-10
6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. 7 But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. 8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper. 10 They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings — external regulations applying until the time of the new order.
Heb 10:8-10
8 First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). 9 Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
And perhaps the most convincing of all:
Col 2:13-15
13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, 14 having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. NIV
Looking at these Scriptures, don't you see that it's the ceremonial laws that this is talking about?
The Law [10 commandments] is not contrary to the Gospel, it promotes it. Read the Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5
Psalm 111:7-8 .....'The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness
Matthew 19:17 .....'And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.'
Tawny - You have made some good points in this article. Though some for me need some real clarification, because it gets quite fuzzy for me, especially in the beginning...when you started out with this statement:
"You cannot contain in your heart the law with grace."
But the Lord doesn't tell us that at all...
Hebrews 10:16--This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
By the law being written upon our hearts...what law? When this law is written upon our hearts and in our minds, we can have the assurance given to us by the Holy Spirit. It's never Grace vs. the Law [10 commandments] they are not in contradiction with each other, they coincide.
Revelation 14:12-- 12This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
You have made statements consistently stating that God's Law has been done away with, abolished? This is not so. I think that you have confused the ceremonial laws...such as sacrifices, etc. with God's Law.
Matthew 5:18--For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Here is a good commentary in relation to this:
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary
5:17-20 Let none suppose that Christ allows his people to trifle with any commands of God's holy law. No sinner partakes of Christ's justifying righteousness, till he repents of his evil deeds. The mercy revealed in the gospel leads the believer to still deeper self-abhorrence. The law is the Christian's rule of duty, and he delights therein. If a man, pretending to be Christ's disciple, encourages himself in any allowed disobedience to the holy law of God, or teaches others to do the same, whatever his station or reputation among men may be, he can be no true disciple. Christ's righteousness, imputed to us by faith alone, is needed by every one that enters the kingdom of grace or of glory; but the new creation of the heart to holiness, produces a thorough change in a man's temper and conduct.
