Our Faith... Part 5... Original Sin

                                              We believe that original sin , or depravity is that corruption of the nature of all the offspring of Adam by reason of which everyone is very far gone from original righteousness or the pure state of our our first parents at the time of their creation , is averse to God, is without spiritual life , and is inclined in evil and that continually ( Romans 3: 10-12, 23 ).

                           Part 6... Atonement

                                              We believe that Jesus Christ , by His sufferings, by the shedding of His own blood, and by His meritorious death on the cross ,made full atonement for all human sin (Hebrew 9 :13, 14, 26 )and that this atonement is the only ground of salvation ( Act 4: 12 ) ansd that is sufficient for every individual of Adam's race ( John 3: 16,Hebrew 2 :9 ) that the atonement is graciously efficacious to the salvation of the irresponsible and to children in innocency  ( Roman 2 :15, 5:13 , Matthew 19: 13 - 15 ) but is efficacious to the salvation of those who reach the age of responsibility only when they repent and believe (Act 3: 19 ).

                           Part 7... Free Will

                                             We believe that the man's creation in God's likeness included ability to choose right and wrong, and that thus he was made morally responsible , that through the fall of Adam he became depraved so that he cannot now turn and prepare him self by his by his own natural strength and works to faith and calling upon God ( Genesis  6:5  ), but the grace of God through Jesus Christ is freely bestowed upon all men ,enabling all who will, to turn from sin to righteousness , believe on Jesus Christ for pardon and cleansing from sin , and follow goods works pleasing and acceptable in His sight ( I john 1: 4, 9, Romans 5 : 17, 18 ).

                                                                          We believe that it is possible for a christian to fall from a state of grace ,and unless he be restored through repentance , will be hopelessly and eternally lost .
