Priest on-call in the Temple
Requirement of a priest of the temple
It is written…. Exodus 40: 12-15 New English Translation (NET Bible)
“You are to bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. Then you are to clothe Aaron with the holy garments and anoint him and sanctify him so that he may minister as my priest. You are to bring his sons and clothe them with tunics and anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may minister as my priests; their anointing will make them a priesthood that will continue throughout their generations.”
It is written…. (Deut. 18:5) For the Lord your God has chosen him out of all your tribes, to stand to serve in the name of the Lord, him and his sons forever.
Required to serve and direct in the temple
The righteous priesthood holder will not only bear authority, he will bear love and a ministry of service and inner healing as well. The righteous priesthood holder will reflect the nature of Jesus Christ
It is written….. (John 4:23) But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
One true High priest, higher than heavens.. Jesus Christ
It is written….. (Hebrews 7:3)Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.it is written
It is written….. (Hebrews 7: 21-28)For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord sware and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament. And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Amen in Jesus mighty name
