All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I wish we could all say that once we start following God that we're perfect and no longer make mistakes but it's not possible. Sin is a disease we inherited from Adam and Eve our First parents that get passed forever more through-out generations. We can do whatever we can do to possibly stop doing wrong, but no matter how hard we try the battle between spirit and flesh is ever-going on. Paul struggled with this as you can read more about in Romans Chapters 7 and 8. We are only human and will always make mistakes. This is what Jesus died for...so that we are automaticallly forgiven no matter what. This does not mean to sin on purpose knowing Jesus died for us and we are already forgiven, that would be taking advantage of his sacrifice and thats just wrong. The suffering, torture and death he went thru should not have been in vain. If you mess up, just get back up. Don't let thy enemy convince you " Hey you messed up and now God won't take you back b/c you knew better, so keep doing it"! It's just another one of his lies to keep you in his possesssion. Ask God to forgive you and try not to make the same mistake again. After that, forgive yourself and always be forgiving of others the way God forgives us. We want to be forgiven so why not forgive? The point, is we all make stupid mistrakes and need to get right with God immediately! Always remember he forgave you the moment you did whatever it was that you did.

Beloved Kellee,

It is true, in this life we will not be perfect (sin less), but we can attained a maturity through Christ that helps us not be enslaved to habitual sins. We can live holy lives by the empowering to the Holy Spirit as we abide in Christ.

Sin should not rule our lives as you have mention.

Blessings sis.
