My Ponderings about Wealth and Poverty.

I've been pondering about wealth and poverty. I seem to do that a lot.

Why are some people rich? Why are some people poor?

The Bible says that they have ONE thing in common...

So, if it is the Lord who has made some to be poor and some to be rich, why then should we try to change our financial state. Shouldn't we say that this is the Lord's will for me to be rich/poor? Why should we help those who are poorer since it is the Lord who made them that way?

I should think not!! That is only passivity!!

But I guess if you were very rich, you would be quite happy to stay that way. Why would you WANT to be poor? I don't see too many people aspiring to be poor. Most would sooner be rich.

The more I think about this rich/poor thing, the more complex I see it to be. There are negatives and positives on both sides. We cannot say that rich is good and poor is evil, or visa versa. There is good and bad in both.

So, this is what I want to go and investigate. I have many thoughts that I want to sort out. This might be a LONG quest!!?? I will seek the Lord to understand this better.

I think I'll start with the "for's" and "against's" of poverty first.... in the next post!!

I always pray when I put things on and I thank you for your kind posting.. I am really attached to the poor. I have children in those countries. I relate to them through interpreter. My friend John. John who is a Sunday school teacher there.. Some people I know have moved to the country where children are orphans. If I was younger. I would pack my bags and go there. Of course at my age 67. I am retired and my hubby and six Grandchildren I would not like me to leave. You really have to know if it is Gods calling I mean that sincere. I am compassion person.It is one thing wanting to go. It is a country with aids and all sorts of roadblocks with disease's. I know here the bugs love my blood. I end up in Hospital on and off in emergency with swollen eyes and hands.. . I know this young couple who left. They have been called by God. She has been there now over 2 years working there and now she got married two weeks ago here. Her hubby now has the same desire.He visited for months there and worked beside her with the children.. So it is so beautiful how the Lord unites couple in Christ Jesus. Pastor of this wee church sent pictures of children reading my letter. God knows my heart and I am here in Canada .Yet through computer. It is a blessing. I should post pictures in my messages profile here. I will.So you can see the smiles on these wee children. God loves the little children. One picture is a baby and other children. Who are so poor. Not sure if the baby has any parents now. Of parents dying of aids.

Thank you fro your prayer for me. Pray that anyone who is need in here . Will be lead to me. I have been through alot in my life and I can relate to people who are in the same situation as I was. I pray for people to get saved. My desire. Plus in my family and my husbands. Others here also. Who have friends and loved ones. Who needs Gods Grace of Salvation for the asking. The second birth.

Dont have to worry about the rich. When you are poor. You dont wear the badge.Look at my shoes, hat, clothes, house. Keeping up with the Jones. More rich people are more depressed.Look at the bank who wanted bail out. hey get money and go have a holday and dine. Now they are still screaming, more, more. They go away from the Lord until things go wrong. Then they are thinking they are all hard done by. Why me God. Blaming God.

The poor are closer to the Lord. They smile alot. They dont have materialistic things and a house to keep them away from the Lord. No bagage. . So they have no bills, no credit cards. They can be on their knees to the Lord . They have the relationship we all can learn from.

I tell you. I come from a middle class home. My sibblings complained they were hard done by always.. Always doom and gloom. When my parents died. how bad is dividing a set of dishes in half for two brothers. I am so glad. I came out of the greed. My trust is in his grace.My relationship with him. Like the Black people and other balck countries.

Some rich or middle class can be nice but you cannot count many on your fingers.

The poor is like God. He was born in a manger, He had no where to lie his head you can say. A house.,He was a carpenter. He loved the person but not the sin. When Jesus died on the cross. The thief said to the Lord. Well you read it. How wonderful the Lord was. . God was a humble man. Would I want to be rich. No way. I came into this world with nothing. I go out with nothing. My home is Eternity. No more sickness, tears. This is my opinion on the poor and the rich. Amen..

I am afraid that in these bad times. The rich are going to be very sorry. People are going to throw stones at their windows. Rrob them of all their riches. Friends. . Money is a root of all evil. Better you be poor in the days to come. Be happy in spirit. It was a sin city.New Orlean's. as. I dont believe that God will allow it to be the city it was. People loved sin more there then God.

You hear people who are rich and middle class. If I ws left some money. I would buy another car, another house.

God said. Be thankful like the birds. Live day to-day. Be like the sparrows. God feeds the sparrows.
