For those of you who know my mom underwent hip replacement surgery today, I want to bring you up to date with her condition. The surgery went well, praise Jesus! The surgery took about two hours, and the epidural kept her numbed up pretty well for a good six hours. She began to feel some discomfort in her back and so received some pain medication. This is no doubt going to be a long night for her as she must lay still :) Tomorrow, the nurses will help her to move about, and Friday she comes home. Today was a good day despite the family's overall anxiety level and despite the post surgical discomfort my mom began to feel before she was administered pain medication. This morning, my dad and I accompanied my mom to the hospital where she was preped and taken into the operating room. By the time my mom was wheeled back into her room, my two sisters had joined me and my dad at the hospital to await her post-surgical arrival. My mom was blessed with the opportunity to eat hospital meatloaf for dinner :)
I want to thank you all for your continued prayers for my mom's safe and rapid recovery. Your prayers are most appreciated, as I truly believe they are making a huge impact. Praise the Lord! My family in Christ Jesus, your prayers are my family's blessing of God!
