My Christian Journey

As I was reading Matthew 7 this morning, I thought about how if I put all of Jesus's words into practice, I will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  I should not judge people (like Christians who are alcoholics) or I too will be judged for something.  I should not give my thoughts about the Bible or other Christian things to unbelievers.  If I do, they may criticize the Word of God, and then turn and try to convince me that the Word isn't true.  I should treat others the way I want to be treated.  Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.  Would someone please comment on this Bible verse about the gate?  How few is a few?
