MISGUIDED SOULS

Lord there are some questions going through my mind

Like why do people call on you when they're in a bind

Why do people come to you as a last resort

Like when they know they broke the law and they end up in court

Why are people like that Lord do they really think

If they're not living for you but living on the brink

That when they call out in fear "O Jesus please help me"

That magically you will show up and hear their humble plea

Sometimes in your great mercy because you love them so

You'll come down and save them so that way they will know

You're not some kind of genie lving in a far off land

Who thinks you will come running each time that they command

I stopped then and listened for what he had to say

He said they've been misguided and somewhere along the way

They were told they could do anything they please

Whether it was right or wrong their life would be a breeze

They were told I would save them and yes that part is true

But they must be truly sorry for the sinful things they do

Make no mistake about it I am a God of love

My son willingly gave his life and left his throne above

Yet because I'm holy I will not put up with sin

When the day of judgement comes many think they will come in

To my perfect place of peace filled with eternal joy

But sadly I can't let them in for they used me as a toy
