Minute Meditation for each day (125)

“Have no love for the world, nor the things that the world affords.” 1Jn.2:15

Reflection:

   This seems to be a renunciation of life but it is really an affirmation of true life. God wants to pull me away from the nothingness and fleeting character of the world, so that my heart will not go astray.

   Why am I so attached to the pettiness of earth that I neglect the only thing necessary?

Prayer:

   “Father, grant that You alone will be the object of my love, my fidelity. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN!!!
