Solomon admonishes us not only to use words with restraint, but to manage our emotions. (Proverbs 17: 28) I have seen more damage done by unrestrained emotions that perhaps any other issue. Have you witnessed the damage done when you’ve allowed yourself to become furious or overly anxious? Have you felt the damage of a man/ woman who was not even-tempered? It is imperative that you and your mate agree never to discuss an issue when emotions are high. High emotion impairs judgment and stops inhibitions—not a good thing!
