Looming Cliff

I starting a journey with the Lord last week.

I have been praying for a path and have been moved to write.

I went to the Hearts at Home conference this past weekend and feel moved to begin writing prayers in the form of poems.  I sent an e-mail to Hearts at Home, praying for guidance.  Jill Savage wrote back and suggested that I begin a blog.  So this is my very first post..... 

Can you tell me what you think...........

Looming Cliff

 

Dear Heavenly Father,

 

Jesus taught, “Kingdon come,  thy will be done.”

I pray that your will is to where I run.

But then He tells You to go off that cliff.

He says he’ll catch you, but what if?

 

All the disappointments and doubts

And all the various, numerous  routes.

Am I right, is this the path

Or just some crazy, funny math?

 

I want to follow and to enjoy

But there’s always the decoy

Keep me safe and warmly protected.

Keep me on your path, closely connected.

 

Our Father,

Who art in Heaven

Hallowed be Thy Name

Thy Kingdom come

Thy will be done.

On earth as it is in heaven

I ask that all my sins be forgiven

I ask that I learn to follow Your will

I pray I learn to want Your will.

I pray I learn to crave Your will.

But mostly I pray that Your will be done

 

In Jesus name I pray,
