LIVING IN THE EYE OF THE STORM WITH GOD

Living In The eye Of The Storm with God

Wow what a thought, I recently saw a movie about a huge hurricane that hit this town. The storm was really bad and then all of a sudden the sun came out and the winds stopped and the people thought the storm was all over. A wise old man said to the people that the storm was not over but but they were in the eye of the storm.
All I could think of was Psalm 91 that says;

1.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Jesus said, These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
He said,"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27
Paul wrote,And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

The children of Israel while in the wilderness lived under a cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. When the cloud our pillar of fire moved, they moved with it. They were in the eye of the storm with God. The storm was all around them, but They lived in the eye of the storm with God.
Some how we got the idea that when we become Christians that all our troubles will go away. Then we get discourage when trouble comes. God never promised us a life free from troubles. He just promised that He would be with us during those difficult times of our lives. You see God is in the mints of your storm right now. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares about you. You have a promise that He will never, never, no not ever leave or forsake you. You might be saying; where are you God, don't you see the horrible storm I am in? You will find Him in the middle of your storm ready and willing to give to you all that you need .

Thank you Bob...This is so amazing. I showed the picture to my kids..and Joshua, (whose name means God's Warrior--which he is so pleased to tell everybody.. :)...) Has said that the enemy surrounds us, but when we are in the middle with God, we are safe! I pray that we will all know the depth of this truth...

Love in Christ, Carla

Bob, these are wonderful words. We are so blessed to be among those who abide in the secret place of the most High - the eye of the storm. And it is in there God causes all things to work together for good for all of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Amazing! How ever grim others may define our experiences and circumstances, how ever bad they may even seem to us, we are assured by the true Definer of all things that it is working out for good for us. Whose report will we believe? Thanks for reminding us, brother. Keep up the good work.

One thing i have learned about God is that even if we are unfaithful, He is always faithful, His love never changes toward us. I have 3 almost grown kids and I promice you that as a father to them I could never stop loving them even if they go astray.
God allows us to suffer from our bad choices, but He is a faithful father Buddy and he will never turn His back on you. In his word He says I will never leave you or forsake you.

Even when we are faithless, He remains faithful still. if we turn our backs on Him, He will turn his back on us. If we deny Him, He can't deny Himself. Timothy?

Awesome word, specially for these times that we're living in. We need to hear more words of encouragement like these. Thanks, and let God keep using you. Bless you!!!
