In response to Alienated's blog "Why I don't think I am saved"

It is on my spirit to tell you that first of all YOU are not alone. Jesus loves you, you are his child. He is calling out for YOU! Your honesty on the blog really impacted me. I am new to this site, but am certain you are welcome here in your quest and search. I for one really appreciate honesty. I too have many thoughts of not doing enough, Praying enough, not spending enough time with him. ect., but the thought comes to me that we can't earn our way into heaven. It is not by deeds or works, but by a marvelous GIFT given by God to any of us who believe on the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

I realize that we are held accountable and there is judgement, but WE ALL HAVE FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD!

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away;

behold, all things have become new." 2 corinthians 5:17

And I am not saying that is an excuse to live any way we want without regard for the commandments we as believers have been given,but the mere fact that you come to this site (there are many many sites of the opposite direction) and I quote from your blog "I am saying that because the thought of hell fire scares the pants off me. " shows you have a belief. I struggle and stumble on my path daily, but am honored to be your sister in Christ and if there is anything I can do to help you please contact me.You have definitely not made a fool of yourself! Secretly, I think most of us think along those lines at one time or another. Thank you Jesus! for your umbrella of Mercy, Love and Grace!!!!Check out woib.org, there are scriptures to help in many situations to uplift and encourage. How blessed you really are my sister that the Lord God Almighty is laying it on your spirit to come to these sites and meet other children of God. YOU ARE LOVED IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF CHRIST JESUS. Jesus loves you and so do I! You have a choice my sister.....Please explore the certainty of a God that loves you unconditionally and wants very much for YOU to be saved!
