I WROTE A LETTER TO MY LOVE

All kidding aside, this is what the Lord has done! He has restored a heart full of bitterness, anger and pain and turned much darkness into light. Almost three years ago this Born Again child wrote a letter to God and now He leads me to write another to share in heart felt thankfullness to His Glory.

PRAISE JESUS, I LOVE YOU LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS! ALL GLORY TO GOD!

DEAR GOD, MY HEAVENLY FATHER,

Today I watched a little girl at the waters edge, playing,laughing and giggling

she turned to wave to her parents not far away.

Oh Lord, this life is fleeting.

Memories flooded my mind

and it seems like only yesterday

that little girl was me.

I wondered what life had in store for this little one's journey through life.

What awaited her.

I prayed a little prayer for her life, and in my mind,my heart and my soul

I praised you for taking my hand and keeping me safe throughout all these years,

after my own little feet walked away from the sand and onto the destructive path that would lead me through trial and sin

before leading me back to you.

Before I kissed innocence goodbye!

Before disallusionment,disappointment,depression, abuse,

and looking for love that seemed unatainable.

Before I started to believe

that I was not worth loving or being loved.

Before I tasted the lies of this world.

Before tears,pain and crushed Spirit.

But Father, You were always there!

You never left my side even though I had left Yours.

Even all those years I was trying and thinking I could do things on my own

and when so many times I meant to do right but ended up doing wrong.

You always loved me, You were only waiting for the day that I would love You back.

Oh , how busy You were,protecting me and keeping me safe.

Keeping me from drowning in the torrents, keeping my head above water

so that I would not be lost forever.

Now here I stand Father God!

I do not wonder, when I walk along this beach,

where the other set of footprints went.

I KNOW how often You carried me.

I KNOW You never left me.

I KNOW that even though I will still face trials in this world,

there will be times when Your prints will be the only ones in the sand

while you carry me and make me strong when I am weak.

You Lord, are "GRACE BY THE LAKE."

By Your Grace I am saved and You have led the steps of my feet back to this shore.

The same shore where life was fresh and new as a child and has been made fresh and new

through Your love,

Your mercy and Your Grace,once again,

To bring Glory to Your Name.

Through this new life You have given me, YOUR WILL BE DONE,

Until we meet on that other shore.

AMEN!!
