I said a prayer last night
Last night I spend most of the night sitting here at my computer exploring this site along with some really good infomation on www.allaboutgod.com looking up scriptures as I went it was about 11pm when I just got the urge to shut everything down and just go pray to my Lord so thats what I did I shut my computer down, got ready for bed and bowed down on my knees in prayer. I dont know if this is what a blog is suppose to be like or about but it seems like a good place to write this down.
This prayer I said was a very emotional prayer for me because I not only prayed for me but for my family also as we/my mom and step dad are going through some hard times and that my Lord and Savior Jesus will just help me deepen my relationship and faith in him. After I prayed this prayer a peace just fell over me and I laid there when I had a verse come to mind it was Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace,and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then I went on to read verses 12-13 which says Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
I am use to reading out of a NIV so when I read this out of my KJV it didnt sound anything like what I am use to reading so it just really touched me. I laid there in my bed just thinking that that was the Lord speaking to me and as I laid there unexpected and unexplainable tears just came upon me it was just a really touching experience.

Char, I enjoyed reading your comment thanks for saying the link if you have anymore let me know I am interested in anything that is going to help me move forward and grow closer with my Lord! :-) When reading I sometimes find my self looking up definations of words too actually just today I downloaded a bible dictionary to my Iphone LOL!!!

Amanda the way things are worded in the KJV it's harder for me to read and understand I guess you can say the NIV is what I normally read out of when reading and studying and the KJV is the one I take to church with me because it's what my pastor uses and reads out of so it's easier to understand and follow along. My pastor has told me that I should really try to read and study out of my KJV so I am trying harder to read more out of it.
Journeyman I am glad to hear that I chose a good place to post and share this. It was definately a WOW moment for me and I hope I have more of them because it was truly amazing. I love my Lord and Savior with all my heart and I am going to do everything I can to get a closer relationship with him and to deepen my faith in him! God Bless! Our God is a AWESOME GOD!!!
