How to Use Prophecy to Battle the Enemy

Many people do not know that they can use prophecy to fight the enemy.

1 Tim 1:18 This command I entrust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you fight the good fight.

Paul was telling Timothy to fight, to battle, to wage war against the enemy, against his circumstances, fear, unbelief, doubt, and discouragement. It is all of these things that try to hinder us, so we must war against them also.

We have the scriptures to do this, which is the written word of God, "The Logos", and it works well; however, we also must realize that just as Timothy we to at times get prophecies, prophetic utterances, or a Rhema word from a man or woman of God. When this happens and when we know the word to be confirmed in our spirit, then we must use those words to fight the good fight of faith, to battle, to wage war against the enemy, against this world system, the hindrances, and the discouragement, and against all the things that we must overcome as believers to see our promised blessings manifest, so that we can fulfill the call on our lives.

We recommend having the prophetic words God has given you, printed out, and in a place of view that you will see them daily. Decree them daily, speak them forth, and "Believe." Act on them only when you are told to do so by the Holy Spirit, because sometimes we try and jump ahead of God and get out of his timing and covering. Faith without works is dead; however you must be led by the Spirit of God when you do the works; otherwise it is just works of the flesh with no power.

So here are the keys

Keep the prophetic words you have received in front of you by printing them out and either putting them on your wall, or in your Bible, so you can see them and speak them out "every day." Next, you need to stay in faith. Believe it. You stay in line with the word that God has spoken by staying in belief that God cannot lie and will fulfill his promise. Be led by the Spirit in what you need to do to allow it to come to pass in your life, walk it out, and see it manifest. These are the ingredients to seeing your prophecies fulfilled.

Job 22:28 "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; and light will shine on your ways.
