All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Honestly, please, how can I possibly believe in god?

Mar 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Believe; To credit upon the authority or testimony of another; to be persuaded of the truth of something upon the declaration of another, or upon evidence furnished by reasons, arguments, and deductions of the mind, or by other circumstances, than personal knowledge. When we believe upon the authority of another, we always put confidence in his veracity. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

To believe in God we must trust our heart, and not what this world says is so. We consider all the know and unknown facts of the truth of the Gospel. Jesus stated that even the devils believed in God. “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.” We all believe in many things, some we can see and others we cannot see. One of the things that we cannot see is love, we see the effects of love on the individual, but the spirit of love is beyond our sight. The things we can see are things of the flesh, a bird, a man, a woman, a physical world made up of buildings, forest, lakes, rivers streams and oceans.

If we can believe in the seen, then why are we so baffled by the unseen things of God. We believe in what our politicians say, before they are elected but in reality, they have their own agenda and we the people are the last to benefit from their grand speeches. But with the Lord, His words remain steadfast and unmoving. When the Lord stated that, He was the first, last and evermore, we can believe it. You can say that, you believe in Scientology, but does Scientology really prove anything out side the known world? No, you can believe in numerology, but even our system of numbers are deceiving in many instances. You can say you believe in Darwin and his theory of evolution, but can evolution be proven or tell us how each and every species of this world evolved with a different D.N.A. No, for even evolution is based on assumption that all would believe it without question.

All manner of theories and religions would have you to believe in something without proof, so how hard is it to believe in God? Remember that to Believe, is to; To credit upon the authority or testimony of another. Jesus testified to the truth of God and of himself. The old law states that the testimony of two makes it so. In todays world, we can no longer adhere to this, for man is so corrupt that many, who do know the truth, are afraid to testify of it. So we are again back to faith. “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?” Who shall prevent you from believing in faith, is it peer pressure, is it politicians, government, laws, rules, regulations, or even family?

Faith, according to the Scriptures, comes from hearing. Hearing what? The word of God. Even to believe in God we must first come to an understanding with yourself, and all things that would prevent you from beginning to just listen to the word. Why do you think that many are so afraid of the word of God? Why are many of your friends always putting anyone down just for listening? Its because the word of the Lord, scares them, it tells them that their idea of reality is not as it appears. The word shows all that we are in this world for only a short period of time, and as a vapor of smoke, fades after a little while, and is gone.

The word tells all that God created all things and by knowing this fact, it rules out all man made ideology and man made religions, it puts a light on all manner of debauchery and sin. It tells all that, there is an after life, that there is a judgment and there is a penalty for unbelief. At Christmas day, do you receive, and give gifts of love, to you family, friends, or children? Why? Many say, its the day Jesus was born. I like to say, Its the day we have chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus. By celebrating this day, you are acknowledging that Jesus existed, and is the Son of God, otherwise, why would Christmas be so important to you and the rest of the Christian world? By acknowledging that Jesus existed, you have acknowledged that this part of the Bible is true.

So then, is it so much harder to believe in God that sent Him? I think not. We all believe in the old testament patriarchs, Adam, Eve, Noah, David, Solomon, but without faith in the unseen, you still acknowledge that these men and women existed and were created, directed, and led by the unseen Lord God of all creation. So believing in God is easy.

The entire Bible is a testimony of men and women of the known facts. The creation of man, the flood of Noah, the building of the Temple of Solomon, the Birth of Christ, His, life, death and resurrection. The words and testimonies of the disciples of Christ, who were witness to the greatest man who was ever born of woman, the miracles of the resurrection of the dead, the healing of all manner of disease, and the torture, that they endured for their testimony of the truth of God and His Christ. To testify; To make a solemn declaration, verbal or written, to establish some fact; to give testimony for the purpose of communicating to others a knowledge of something not known to them. To affirm or declare solemnly for the purpose of establishing a fact. “We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.”

Even unto death, these disciples, cared not for this life, neither for their own lives, save the testimony of the saving power of God threw His Son Jesus. These testimony of the truth of creation, God and Christ, has withstood many that would have silenced this gospel. Men have given their lives freely to obtain a better resurrection and for the sake of the name of Jesus. Ars.
