God covers our sins

     How amazing to think that God completely covers our sins!  The key is found in 1 John 1:9:  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

     We have all done things worthy of condemnation, and the world certainly takes delight in condemning us.  But Romans 8:1 promises, There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.  

     God doesn't dig up the past, and neither should we.  As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us(Psalm 103:12).

     Hebrews 9:14 says the blood of Christ will cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. He forgives us completely so our conscience is clean and we can serve Him.

      If we try to cover up our sin, however, we are robbed of joy and revival. After David confesses his sin in Psalm 51, he says: Make me hear joy and gladness....Restore to me the joy of Your salvation..... Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You (vv.8, 12-13). When we repent, we receive forgiveness, cleansing, salvation and righteousness. This is our heritage in the Lord-- and this is why Christians have joy! His Word promises, No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly (Psalm 84:11).

     There is a great move of God, and we are part of it. He wants us to be free from guilt and shame so we can experience His love and share it with others, drawing the world unto Him. God bless you.
