GUIDELINES TO REACH OUR DESTINY

A CHILD OF DESTINY is a person predestined with a special mission to accomplish by the end of a span of life.

Earlier message: We saw how every born-again, blood-washed believer is a CHILD OF DESTINY for God had predestined the believer before the foundation of the world IN CHRIST JESUS to accomplish HIS PURPOSE within that span of life in that period of time.

Seeing that everyone born in this world is a sinner and belongs to Satan’s kingdom, we are helpless, hopeless, under condemnation to spend eternity in hell with the devil.

BUT…BUT… BECAUSE GOD SO LOVED US AS SINNERS, HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS CHRIST  TO BE THE SINLESS LAMB OF GOD AS OUR SUBSTITUTE TO PAY IN FULL THE PENALTY FOR SIN AND TO DELIVER US FROM THE DOMINION OF SATAN!  John 3: 16; Ps.107:2;  Rev.5: 9)

WE ALSO CONSIDERED HOW JESUS CHRIST THE PERFECT CHILD OF DESTINY WAS GOD WAS MANIFESTED IN FLESH BUT WITHOUT SIN AND BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF, SHEDDING HOLY BLOOD TO REMIT ALL OUR SINS AND TO RECONCILE US TO GOD AS CHILDREN OF GOD, PRODUCED CHILDREN OF DESTINY TO CONTINUE DOING THE WILL OF THE FATHER IN THIS WORLD DURING THE TIME FRAME GIVEN TO HIS BORN-AGAIN PEOPLE, IN EACH GENERATION UNTIL THE END OF THIS WORLD

THEREFORE,  IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE TRULY BORN-AGAIN BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD THROUGH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD-SACRIFICE OF JESUS CHRIST ON CALVARY AND THE POWER OF SIN BROKEN, AND BE RECONCILED TO GOD, AS OUR FATHER!  (John 1: 12 and John 3: 3)

God’s Book of instructions, THE BIBLE, gives us some of the guidelines to help us reach our destiny successfully.  It is important for us to study God’s Word to be

approved of God. (2 Tim. 2: 15 and 2 Tim. 3: 14- 17)

Now let us turn to Hebrews 12: 1- 4 and read these verses –

WHEREFORE SEEING WE ALSO ARE COMPASSED ABOUT WITH SO GREAT A CLOUD OF WITNESSES, LET US LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT OF SIN WHICH DOTH SO EASILY BESET US, AND LET RUN WITH PATIENCE THE RACE THAT IS SET BEOFRE US, LOOKING UNTO JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH;  WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS DESPISING THE SHAME,  AND IS SET DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE THRONE OF GOD.

Be conscious there is a crowd of witnesses gone before, as listed in chapter 11. All those who suffered for the testimony of Jesus Christ endured until the end in faith – they started out in faith and kept their faith unto the end no matter what kind of suffering they went through during their span of life.  Verses 39 and 40

says,  And these all having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us

should not be made perfect.

Lay aside every weight of sin which doth easily beset us – Is there a weakness you have that seems to so easily get you to fall into sin? -  do you find yourself repenting of the same thing and doing it again – then we are told to LAY  ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT OF SIN (this is our act of faith if we are serious about following Jesus Christ).  IN CHRIST you are dead to sin (water baptism) and alive to God. You are to reckon yourself dead to sin and sin shall not have dominion over you as stated in Rom.6: 6- 14 – all these actions are born of faith in the FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST ON CALVARY FOR YOU.  He has broken the power of sin in your life as a sinner. Rom. 6: 17, 18

Are you in this race to win?  Are you IN CHRIST?

If we turn back from our commitment to the beggarly elements of the world, the flesh and obey sin – then there is no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking for the wrath of God to fall on all them who obey not the Gospel of Christ.     Read this in Heb. 10: 16- 31 and 1Thess.1: 10

Let us run with patience the race set before us – we saw that by those who have gone before us in Heb.11, they did not quit for they were conscious of the promise of God to them.  This is the highest kind of faith anyone can have – God’s promises to you!

Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finhiser of our faith – We began our total commitment to the One Who gave HIMSELF FOR US.  Our faith began at that place called CALVARY when we believed the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached.

We walk by faith based on His Word and not by sight (or our senses) and therefore our focus must be JESUS CHRIST, our Example, our Substitute, our Savior and Redeemer Who called us personally to follow HIM.  To follow, means to continue after Him and all He is showing you so you could accomplish the mandate He gives you. Faith is defined for us in Heb. 11: 1 and this is the most precious gift given to us at salvation.

Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross despising the shame.

Jesus Christ was manifested in flesh to do the will of His Father in spite of all the opposition, the contradiction of sinners, the physical pain and suffering in the flesh, being forsaken by all and to have the wrath of God poured out on Him being made sin with our sin and our sicknesses and our curse.  Verse 3 tells us some of the things He endured so we are encouraged to do the same.  What was the joy that was set before Him?  When He accomplished the Father’s will He will produce CHILDREN OF DESTINY!

Do you know that we are destined for the throne of God? To be seated with HIM and be part of the BRIDE OF CHRIST when the marriage supper takes place?

Is this your joy too?  When you finish your course in this span of your life as a CHILD OF DESTINY and obtain a good report you will not only be among the

Bridal party at the marriage supper, but you will be a part of the Bride as an over-comer?   Does this excite you?  Is this joy sufficient for you to wholly follow the Lord and not make ship-wreck of your faith?  Do you love the Lord and love to see Him as He is and to be like HIM and hear HIM say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant…… enter thou into the joy of the Lord” Mathew 25: 21- 23

This will also give our Lord joy to know He did not suffer and die in your stead in vain for you have made it!!!!  Hallelujah!

L et this be our aim as Paul declares in 2 Tim. 4: 7, 8   I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE FINISHED MY COURSE, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH………

Keep the faith and fight the fight of faith and finish your course, CHILD OF DESTINY!

God bless you.
