We are traveling down two tracks like a train throughout our life. The one track is the track of hardship. There is just no way to avoid those hard times that we all face like loosing loved ones to death, broken marriages, financial set backs, illness, etc.
We also are also traveling down a track of peace, joy, and victory through Jesus Christ.
In the following verses we can get a glimpse of these two tracks;
"These things I (Jesus) have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." ( John 16:33 NAS )
"Peace I (Jesus )leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. (John 14:27)
“But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.” ( Romans 8:37 )
“But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” (2 Timothy 4:5 )
"For this reason I ( Paul )also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.” ( 2 Timothy 1:12 )
This subject speaks to me so much as I consider that troubles and hardship are a part of life for all humanity. But we as Christians have the Holy Spirit that is always helping us to triumph over all these troubles we face. We were never promised a life free from suffering and hardship, but we do have a promise that he will never leave or forsake us in this journey. (Hebrews 13:5 )
I know that what ever I may have to go through in my life, that God will be with me and help me to find His help in my time of need.
I have gone through some stuff that I though was going to crush me by the weight of it. I have gotten to the place where I had almost given up all hope, yet in the midst of my suffering there He was helping me to go on.
Just like Job, God hasn't told me why I have had to go through such hardship in my life. But I choose to use it all as stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks.
I Have known the faithfulness of the Lord, therefore I can face my future with a since of optimism, hope, peace, and confidence.
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” ( Philippians 4:13 )
Let us move forward on the two tracks of life with confidence, and trust in our God.
