Many of us are wondering as we look at the current new events, can I live in safety with so much violence that is going on. And the answer is yes. Because if you have made Jesus your Lord and Savior. You do not have to be afraid of calamity. As the word of God says in Jeremiah 16:19- O Lord , my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction. And besides you abide in the shadow of the Almighty God. You are not putting your trust in created gods. But the real living God. So when fears creeps in your mind . You tell that spirit of fear to leave in the Name of Jesus. And say 2 Timothy 1:7-For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. Do you think God has just left you in the midst of you chaos. Absolutely not! Let's look at Mark 6:45-51- Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. Mark 6:46- And when He sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray. Look at that how immediately our High Priest takes action, because he is all knowing he knew that the disciples were getting ready to meet danger. But that just shows you can take a deep breath. Jesus does not sleep. As the word of God says in Psalm 121:4- Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. Sometimes as believers we can thank that God is doozing off on us. So let's hear and believe the truth about God. That our God does not sleep . But back to Mark 6:47- Now when evening came the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. So we see that something or should I say the devil was trying to hinder them to their destiny. But remember saints. Jesus is above every principality and power. As the word of God says in Colossians 2:10- and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. But back to Mark 6:47- Now about the forth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. Let's look at the truth in our life. that when we are in the midst of trouble, or going through trouble . God is still there. As the word of God says in Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Jesus was showing the disciples that there are in Him, he is their source of shelter and he is there strength. You cannot fight things in our mere human strength. We have to be strong in the Lord in the power of his might. As the word of God says in Ephesians 6:10-Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.Back to Mark 6:49- And when the saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was ghost and cried out; See what fear does, it takes away your sound mind. And we know that God has never given his children fear. Back to the word of God in Mark 6:50- for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them said to them," Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid. See how are Lord gives us peace that surpasses all understanding. As the word of God says in Philippians 4:7- and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. So with this my friends we can have a calm in face adversity. But back to Mark 6:51- Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. Your God will calm that war that is fighting against you.
He is the Lord your God. And by the way rebuke unbelief , when you feel like God is not there to take care of you. God bless you
