..getting lead to climb a tree.
Faith holds on to the knowledge of our Righteousness, which is in God through Christ Jesus
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Rom 3:22-24
The more I focus on Jesus, and work on my faith in Him, and not in things I am believing for. Those things come from my Trust, that God will take care of my needs. It is my faith in Jesus that will set me free. As I meditate on the Word, on how Jesus did things while on earth as Son of Man. He has such a influence on people, Jesus was passing through Jericho. Zacchaeus who was the director of tax collectors, so he was a very wealthy man.
Hearing that Jesus was coming, Zacchaeus who was not tall man, and because there was a crowd. He climb a tree. Did not care what people thought and climb a tree just for a glimpse of Jesus. I get such a feeling of how it must of been. The electricity of Jesus. So much that, a wealthy man climbing a tree looked, liked a good idea. When Jesus came to the tree, he looked up and said, "Zacchaeus, come down! I must stay at your house today." Zacchaeus came down and was glad to welcome Jesus into his home. But the people who saw this began to express disapproval. They said, "He went to be the guest of a sinner." [Later, at dinner,] Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Lord, I'll give half of my property to the poor. I'll pay four times as much as I owe to those I have cheated in any way." Then Jesus said to Zacchaeus, "You and your family have been saved today. You've shown that you, too, are one of Abraham's descendants. Indeed, the Son of Man has come to seek and to save people who are lost. Luke 19:5-10
He invited Jesus into his home. He did not condemn Zacchaeus, as the other people were.
We do not the words spoken, but we do remember how we felt when we asked Jesus into our hearts. Peace that wonderful Peace that takes hold of you. Love for others comes w/ that Peace. Caring for them, more than ourselves. Wanting to make everything right, true repentance means change. Zacchaeus was able to do all these things more.
So if you get lead to climb a tree, to get a better look, it may be worth considering.
