General Attributes of God

General Attributes:

The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness, and truth. Ex. 34:6,

He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are justice, a God of truth and without injustice; righteous and upright is He. Deut.32:4.

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:8.

Nothing is impossible with God, except to lie....All things are opoen before Him. Nothing can be hidden from His counsel.

He is Lord because he rules over the universe. He is the Father because he is before all things. He is the fashioner and creator, because he is the creator and the Maker of the universe. He is the highest because he is above all. He is Almighty because he himself rules and embraces everything. The heights of heaven and the debths of the abysses, as well as the ends of the earth, are in His hand.

Omnipresence of God

Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain you. 1 Ki. 8:27.

This is the attributes of God, the Highest and Almighty, and the living God: not only to be everywhere present, but also to see all things and to hear all things. He is by no means to be confined in a place containing Him would be greater then He....For God is not contained, but He himself is the place of all.

Omniscience of God

There is no hidden creature hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Heb. 4:13.

God is greater then our hearts and knows all things. 1 John 3:20

He knows all things beforehand, and he is acquainted with what is in our hearts.

Impassibility of God

By the" Impassibility of God ," the early Christians meant that God is not affected my human passions
