It makes us angrier each time we think, the pain they caused sets us at the brink.
We've lost so much because of their evil deed, and so the poisonous vine grows out of it's seed.
And a still small voice whispers, "Forgive".
"Oh, that's the weaker side of us" we do concede, we're taught they should not get away with such greed.
And so the anger continues to grow, it's poison in our body begins to show.
Anger turns to bitterness and we begin to devise, an evil of our own to bring about their demise.
And a still small voice whispers, "Forgive".
"There it is that weaker side again," It's truth we crush down deep within.
We set the trap to make the kill, but something now has made us ill.
We push ahead to lure them in, With no regard toward our sin.
Then something happens that foils our plans, we find ourselves in the doctor's hands.
It's not good news he cannot find it's source, He asks, "what in life could be it's driving force."
You tell'm all that you've been through, and all that you've planned to do.
He sadly looks you straight into the eye, and says, "you keep this up and you will die".
And a still small voice whispers, "Forgive".

I love you.
Precious friends... We've been here before with this issue of forgiveness, but it is the Lord's desire that we can get beyond... No, far beyond this issue today, to another - greater consciousness, even.
I believe, as do many of you, that forgiveness is a choice we make through a decision of our will, motivated by obedience to God and his command to forgive.
"Be gentle and forbearing with one another and, if one has a difference (a grievance or complaint) against another, readily pardoning each other; even as the Lord has [freely] forgiven you, so must you also [forgive]." Colossians 3:13
So, it is true that we are commanded to forgive, however, we have an even greater command and that is to just love! Further, we are told that we cannot do this in our own power but through Christ. In other words, the love we are commanded to manifest comes from God! Getting it from God and back to Him, plus, out to one another, is the work of Christ. Now... to measure how well this is being manifested within us, we need only to look at the description of love from I Cor 13:4-8 to see how well it is being done. In other words, "is the description of love reflective of what is being manifested in us."
In regard to forgiveness, please note in the description of real love that, "love takes no account of evil done to it". This is the higher consciousness I was referring to, which Paul refers to as, "operating in a spirit of love". If you have reached that point in your sanctification (renewing, growing, being conformed into Christ's likeness), where you no longer account for evil done to you, you no longer will struggle with forgiveness.
I am NOT saying that you are not saved because you struggle with forgiveness! But from our careful study of Ephesians, we have learned that Christ must have access to all of your heart to manifest the fullness of this love!
So, If Christ has moved into our hearts now... Why is that back room locked? Why is the refrigerator "off limits"? And why can't He check the mailbox with us? That's where the breakdown is! We must give Him full reign of our hearts!
Forgiveness is possible, but operating in a spirit of love is greater, for Love does not account for evil done to it!
