Forever Friends

I don't want to see you a single day,
unless I have a loving word to say.

I never want the Lord to find,
unholy thoughts of you upon my mind.

I hope to never hear you had to go without,
something I may have had about.

Should you ever have to deal with pain,
I pray that I may share the strain.

Whatever road that you should take in life,
I hope to never be a source of strife.

If our acquaintance should ever end,
I know forever I will be your friend.
