Finite Mind

Food for thought:

Too often in our finite minds we tend to want to find a single truth that is black or white. When we study Scripture we must understand that often there are several truths that work together at the same time and our often beyond our ability to fully comprehend.

Some examples:

Jesus: Fully God and Fully Human.

God is Sovereign and man has freewill (liberty)

Sanctification: Completed at new birth (positional) and yet we grow as we live out the new life (experiential).

Salvation: Completely saved and yet not fully finished.

These are but a four. There are many more, but the point is that we must strive to see how God harmonizes things to where more than one thing can be true without causing harm to another truth.
