“Eye Hath Not Seen”
I’ve walked on hills of clover soft beneath my feet;
I’ve looked out on the ocean as waves sang to me.
I’ve seen snowcaps on the mountains, their beauty on display.
I’ve heard the birds singing, at the break of day.
I’ve seen the trees sway, as if dancing with the breeze;
the dove resting in his nest, quietly among the leaves.
I’ve looked down on the canyons, their colors like rainbows;
seen the eagle spread his wings, to where only he knows.
I’ve seen many wonders, built by mortal man;
city lights blinking, as the earth they do span.
Beautiful churches and cathedrals, built upon a hill,
Standing tall in their splendor, their pews we do fill.
So much beauty in this world, it takes our breath away;
So much of God’s creation, we take for granted every day.
Oh, but wait until we see what God has in store;
In that city He’s prepared over on that heavenly shore.
Pearly gates will open wide, to display streets of gold;
A crystal river will be flowing, it’s beauty yet untold.
Many mansions will be there, with angels at the doors.
No sickness or sorrows; never a death anymore.
Never a pain will be felt, no tears will we cry.
No more wars will be fought; no more soldiers have to die.
No more fears of tomorrow, for time will cease to be;
No more evil men will rule, God has won the victory.
1st Cor: 2:9
But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.
