I went back to my hometown, Lancaster, Ohio, Sunday to take part in a sunrise non-denominational Easter service on top of Mount Pleasant (250-foot (76 m) high sandstone bluff called "Standing Stone" by earlier Native American peoples.) The service is a local tradition back to 1929. Growing up my family always attended, followed by a (weather permitting) first picnic of Spring, than the cities Easter-egg hunt in the park below. I only missed a few years when in the Marines and college in Florida. 246 attended this year, which is a shame, it is a beautiful sevice. Lots of memories.
