Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
When we become adults, we feel we have all it takes to take decisions on our own, plan our lives and do things all by ourselves, especially when we consider that we are learned and have acquired educational qualifications in one area or the other, we feel that is all that we need to succeed in our lives.
Nevertheless, sometimes we meet up with some situations in life that defies all the human efforts we put to it, and we get frustrated, depressed, and dejected, not knowing what to do.
This has made many to turn to drinking, smoking, taking drugs, and all other evil things in a bid to escape from this problem of life. Nevertheless, the more we do these things the more the problems increase, some even commit suicide when they could not find any way out, and they thought death is the only solution that can solve the problem.
However, we need not have gone through all of these if we know how to commit our ways unto God's hands.
God is interested in helping us; He knows everything that we will go through in life. He did not intend that we go through all the troubles all alone, He is ready to go along with us and to help us overcome those situations, and that is why we have to trust in Him.
No matter how wise you may be, you only know and have control over a fraction of your life. God who made you knows all; hence, He can direct your thoughts and actions in the direction where you can avoid all troubles that wants to make life hell for you, all it takes are simple surrender to Him, and obedience to His words.
He said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
