All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

DON'T PREACH THE GOSPEL YOU SAY!!! WHO WOULD SAY A THING LIKE THAT???

OH PRAISE THE LORD! PRAISE JESUS FOR THE ONE HE SENDS TO US TO HELP GUIDE US INTO ALL TRUTH!!

A few weeks ago someone tried to discourage this child of God from seeking fellowship at a Healing Service and oh yes, today someone tried to discourage this same child of God from Preaching the Gospel.

A human voice I almost listened to. Two Christian human voices who may have had good intentions but those good intentions did not fall in line with God's word.

I went and prayed about this and to seek our Lord for answers and guidance as it is indeed the Holy Spirit and the still small voice that will guide me if I am ready to recieve such guidance, and that guidance is there for all of us should we be ready to recieve it.

Should we see a brother heading down the wrong road we are indeed to help that brother and we help that brother by gently applying scripture. When we do this they can either recieve it or leave it.If they decide to leave it we can only pray that the Holy Spirit sets their heart in the right direction.

I have been accused even by the brethren of "Bible thumping."

Persecuted by those who my Lord has given me words to leave with them to plant the seeds for our Heavenly Father to water.

Do I please man and stop helping the brethren in the ways our Lord has taught me? Or do I please my Lord and Master? My Saviour who gave all for me?

I WILL PLEASE OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.!! There is NO OTHER OPTION and I am pleased to please my Father!!

GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE. MARK 16;15

GO YE THEREFORE AND TEACH ALL NATIONS... ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. MATTHEW 28: 19-20

... WERE MORE NOBLE THAN THOSE IN THESSALONICA,IN THAT THEY RECIEVED THE WORD WITH ALL READINESS OF MIND, AND SEARCHED THE SCRIPTURES DAILY,WHETHER THOSE THINGS WERE SO. ACTS 11:17

This verse warns us to take note and seek the knowledge of God

HOSEA 4:6

"MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE; BECAUSE THOU HAST REJECTED KNOWLEDGE, I WILL ALSO REJECT THEE!!!

To see a brother in err it is a natural thing to hear the voice of God and try to impart God's knowledge on him or her in a gentle way.If that brother strikes out at us then so be it.God smiles when we try to teach and shepherd His beloved Body of Christ. Not very pleasing sometimes to those who reject His word and yes we are going to take a few lumps if they reject it.But out of love for our brother and the "Still small Voice" within us it is ours to at least try.

A word about witnessing!!

ISAIAH 40:3

THE VOICE OF HIM THAT CRIETH IN THE WILDERNESS,PREPARE YE THE WAY OF THE LORD,MAKE STRAIGHT IN THE DESERT A HIGHWAY FOR OUR GOD.

ISAIAH 57:14

AND SHALL SAY,CAST YE UP,CAST YE UP,PREPARE THE WAY,TAKE UP THE STUMBLING BLOCK OUT OF THE WAY OF MY PEOPLE

IN CLOSING, I WOULD LIKE TO ASK THIS QUESTION? IS IT WRONG TO SEE A CHILD PLAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND DO NOTHING ??? OR DO WE LOVINGLY LET THAT CHILD KNOW THERE IS DANGER IN PLAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET???

I WOULD NEVER WANT TO STUMBLE A BROTHER BUT IS IT NOT OUT OF LOVE THAT WE ENCOURAGE AND TRY TO HELP A BROTHER TO KNOW THE DANGERS OF WHAT HE IS DOING?

I MYSELF AM BY NO MEANS PERFECT BUT AT THE SAME TIME TO STAND BY AND WATCH SOMEONE FALL WOULD BRING DEEP CONVICTION TO MY HEART IF I DID NOT IMPART TO THEM THE KNOWLEDGE THAT GOD HAS IMPARTED TO ME EVEN IF I HAVE TO TAKE MY LUMPS IN DOING WHAT IS RIGHT. EVEN IF LIES AND PERSECUTION FOLLOW.

I WOULD APPRECIATE FEEDBACK ON THIS BLOG.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL

LOVE IN CHRIST,

IN HIS GRACE,

NANCY.

You said it so well, "My heart aches for the world but it leaps in the joy of Jesus!" You are right ... strange it may seem but Jesus has promised peace that surpasses all understanding...and it does! Oh, for people to see the reality of Jesus and what He has done for them ! Oh, if they would only see! Oh, for people to see what the adversary is doing to them! My son works at a hospital under a physician that practices Buddism. He is constantly trying to put my son to a test. I have advised him to always stand ... to speak respectfully and in love but always to speak the truth! "These are days of great trials but we are the voice in the desert crying prepare the way of the Lord!" Praise God! Thank you for your prayer.

You are very much in my prayers Rebecca as is the state of the Church.I have witnessed here in Calgary a pulling of bibles in the night stands in hospitals as well.Excuse being, they do not want to offend anyone.Political correctedness seems to be more important than God. Forgive them, they know not what they do.What will these people responsible for these things say when Jesus is standing there? What will they say to our Lord about shoving Him away and hiding Him? I sit here right now and thank our Heavenly Father for finding me when He did.For opening my eyes, ears and heart. My heart aches for the world but it leaps in the joy of Jesus. What a strange mixture! Maybe we are to just spread as much of that joy around as much as we can for this dark world to see.Maybe that is all it will take for people to WANT and DESIRE to run towards the Light of our Lord and Saviour! AMEN!

My heart cries out ... there is so much apostasy in the midst of the church. I cry because it comes from the pulpit. At first just a slight variance from the truth ... it seemed to go unnoticed. Now the Word is being put aside as the doctrine of men is being eteemed and preached. Again it seems to have just slipped in . I watch as the people sit in silence ... yet I see many who are just not coming anymore. The church my husband and I attend just went to Sun morning and Weds evening services only. The reason being stated is that people are not committed. It is much more than that. There is indeed a falling away. But woe to the shepherd that scatters the sheep! We must pray ... stay close to the Lord. Pray with me for this pastor. I must witness and stand for the truth ... and always in love. We are in prayer in regard to leaving this congregation...please pray with me. I have stayed because it was the will of the Lord and He has put certain sisters and brothers on my heart to offer support in the midst of it all. I am waiting on the Lord. I sense the door is beginning to close for us there. Love rejoices in truth. I can not compromise the truth. Oh how I love the Lord! I covet prayer for this situation.

AMEN Rebecca!!! We will all continue in prayer for Gods touch in the minds, hearts, souls and lives of all our brothers and sisters in Christ. Ha, I never had children so I guess my nurturing Spirit is very strong and I see the Body of Christ as one to be nurtured even when that nurturing sometimes does not seem like love to those who do not want to see or hear. I myself have only just begun to know humility and like you I would prefer that someone gently point out my error than to make our Daddy cry.
God bless you sis.
Love you in Christ

Nancy,

I just finished watching an episode of ' Silencing Christians' . The series was about how in this country Christians are being silenced. It exposes how perspectives such as homosexuality and Islam are being taught in the schools and in public venues while the gospel is being restricted. This is all happening under the eyes and with approval of our court system. You may say what does this have to do with this topic? The devil is working outside the church body ... it is most obvious there ... but the devil is about his business ... even more insidiously within the midst of what should be the unified body of Christ. Stacey has quoted scripture that also reminds me that the Christian walk is a narrow one...not all who start will finish the race. Scripture says those that endure to the end will be saved.

There is no perfect Christian. In 1 John 1:8 we read, "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us." So when we see a sister or brother sinning it should be in humility and compassion that we minister to them.

1 John 5:16-17 says,"If anyone sees his brother commit a sin that does not lead to death, he should pray and God will give him life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that he should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death."

If we see a fellow Christian sinning we are to pray for our sisters and brothers ... pray that the Lord give them the spirit of repentance. Praying for a repentant heart would be praying the will of our Father.
If 'anyone' sees ... it doesn't say if the pastor ... it says 'anyone' ... so it is all of our responsibility to be our brothers keeper. If anyone 'sees' ... so it is generally going to be the one that is closest in relationship who will 'see' that is going to be called upon to pray and minister.

Jesus says, "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you." Then he says, "If he listens to you, you have won your brother over." In Luke 17:3 we read, "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him." In Galatians 6:1 we read, "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently."

These are not easy tasks. In saying that, what I believe is that God has us in a time of preparation. We are called to hold our relationship with Jesus our Lord and Savior above all else. Sometimes we will be called to stand in uncomfortable situations. Relatonships are hard but the love of Christ should outweigh any misgivings. We are responsible to intercede if a sister or brother wanders away from the truth.

My prayer is that I am loved in such a Godly way that if I get 'caught' in a sin ... in the devils snare ... that a sister would come to me in private with love to show me my error.

We read the account where Jesus Himself interceeded for Peter in Luke 22:31-32. In Romans 8 we see how Jesus intercedes for us in heaven as the Holy Spirit intercedes for us on earth. We should be led by the Holy Spirit who is abiding within to be our comfort and our guide.

I thank God for his grace, he said his grace is sufficient for us. It is by his grace that we will go through. There are a lot of obstacles in the way that will try to block us from doing God's work and from receiving from him but this one thing I know, nothing shall separate me from the love of God. It is imperative that we follow the mandate of God. Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. This also means in any way we can, on the net, face to face, on the telephone any way we can preach and teach the word, nothing must stop the word from spreading. I have experienced the same things you say, but if I had follow believers I would not be who I am today nor do the things I do through Jesus Christ. I preach all over, where ever God sends me or open a door for his word. I conduct seminars, counsel persons and pray for persons as God work through me. So, even when others think you can't do what God has placed in you, remember Philippians 4:13 says. "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me". Whatsoever God as called you to do, do it heartily as unto the Lord.Blessings to you.

Dear Nancy,
What you are saying is absolutely correct. It is better to obey God and correct each other as brethren; than fear man. God bless you.

What does it mean to preach? What is the gospel?...What is GOSPEL?

John 6: 60-71
The Words of Eternal Life
Then many of his disciples who were listening said, "This saying is hard; who can accept it?" Since Jesus knew that his disciples were murmuring about this, he said to them, "Does this shock you?" What if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? It is the spirit that gives life, while the flesh is of no avail. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some of you who do not believe" Jesus knew from the beginning who would betray him. And he said, "For this reason I have told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by my Father."

As a result of this, many [of] his disciples returned to their former way of life and no longer accompanied him. Jesus then said to the Twelve, "Do you also want to leave?" Simon Peter answered him, "Master, to whom shall we go?" You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God." Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you twelve? Yet is not one of you a devil?" He was referring to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot;it was he would betray him, one of the Twelve.
