I agree with what Mary has said. 

Just a word of caution Ananya.  You asked "Why are they the only one to get the power?"

The desire for power is driven by pride, which is self glorifying.

I think this is a really important point.  Only God, The Creator of all things is able to handle the Glory....anyone else is merely a created being.  We're not created or equipped to handle such things.

The exception may be a prophet from God.  It is an exception because THEY KNOW the power does not come from them.  THEY KNOW that without God they are nothing.

A 'power' that comes from a demonic force is always self glorifying.  Demonic powers don't even have true power because they have to submit to God.

Sometimes demonic things get very close in appearance to what God does. If satan looked bad, would anyone fall for his lies? It's a good idea to look at who got the glory. It's okay to step back and take a good look at what's happening behind the scenes.

ESP or clairvoyance is a counterfeit of the gifts God has given His people. These abilities are not from our wonderful God. I have done some of these things in my past. I share when I believe it will help someone. There are different levels of understanding within ESP. There are those who truly believe they are right and are doing something to help others. However, there are those who know where it comes from and use it to further themselves. But in the end both kinds of people are being used by demonic forces.

ESP should not be confused with the office of a prophet or with word of knowledge, word of wisdom and discerning of spirits. The difference is the source and who gets the glory.

It's okay to step back and say...God, where exactly is this coming from. Ask yourself who gets the glory for this prophecy? Some of these tricks look very good and convincing. A well-known prophet/evangelist of today, predicted the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. Christians sang her praises because she predicted it. Consider this, what's so good about knowing ahead of time if you can't help someone? Granted, sometimes people don't listen. But if people are listening, and what you predict cannot change an outcome, help someone, or save lives why does that prophecy exist? Who gets glorified? I want what I say to glorify God and to give Him credit. The things that God reveals to us are not to pad a prophet's reputation. We serve Him. 

I had a lot of confusion for a long time. I had listened to satan so much that it was hard for me to recognize God's voice. You would think it would be like a light switch. Turn off one, turn on the other. Not so. And if anyone recognized God's voice immediately after being born again, great. Good for you. Some of us, like me, have to struggle.

Hello maam,
Yes this question is a very big dilemma to understand the concept of the existence of supernaturals. Why are they the only one to get the power? Predicting someone's future is a big thing. So i just don't get it how and why. I just request to give a clear lesson about these things.
