Confessions of sins

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

We can be forgiven by God through faith in Jesus Christ!

What is forgiveness? The word means “to release”. It is as if you held something in your hand and then you drop it. Let’s say someone owes you money. You hold in your hand the note that says they owe you money; and
then you release it, you let it go.

God describes it like something being washed clean. “Though your sins are as scarlet (red), they will be as white as snow.” Each of us is guilty of doing and thinking things that are wrong, and we deserve death and
full punishment for them. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, our sins
are forgiven; we are “washed clean” in God’s sight. We are free; we are free
indeed.

So again as we Praise and Give Him thanks in this week, let us pray and

• If you haven’t already, ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior!

• Ask God to help us forgive others who may have wronged us
