completion

Long ago I left my home,

Where I had spent my youth.

There had to be more out there,

I had to find the truth.

I stumbled over others,

Into many lives and out,

Never finding comfort,

Still so full fo doubt.

Searching for completion,

Wanting to feel whole.

I couldn't understand,

The emptiness in my soul.

I finally got down on my knees,

Cried out to God in prayer.

Asking Him many questions,

Like why he wasn't there.

I realized he had never left,

He had been right by my side.

I just never chose to hear him,

or In Him to confide.

Now he fills my life each day,

I never feel alone.

The hurt, the pain, the emptiness,

Forever it is gone.

Thank you God for all your grace,

For helping me to see,

Just how much I needed you,

How much you wanted me.
