CHRISTMAS IS NOT ALL ABOUT EATING AND DRINKING

The birth of Jesus was foretold by Prophet Isaiah way back between 740-701 BC and the prophecy was fulfilled around AD. 50- 70 AD meaning the prophecy almost took 70yrs to come true, or boy that’s along time of waiting but that shows us on how much time people spent in pain waiting for the savior.

We read in Isaiah 9:6, words like “to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Words through Prophet Isaiah gives Israel hope that a savior was on the way and so people lived with hope that at one day, a deliver will be born and they will be freed from their suffering and sin.
And after 70yrs according to the book of Mathew Chapter 1 we see the prophecy being fulfilled.
Now what does that teach us, its that every word said by God will always come to pass no matter how long it takes, it will eventually come to pass , so hung in there my sisters and my brother, your help is on the way in Jesus’ mighty name.

Now why do I say that Christmas is not about eating and drinking, I was born in a family where by women could pack their things and leave their husbands when husbands could fail to buy them a Gomes ( local long dress) and even when they fail to buy them meat and sugar on Christmas.

Now to me according, Christmas is about renewing my relationship with the one who was born to save us from our sins and also to have a blessed assurance that Jesus is mine and that is Emmanuel that he is with me. When King David discovered that God was Emmanuel to him, he said these words in Psalms 23 ( The lord is my shepherd , I will not want and also words like even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for you’re with me)

Now I call upon you my sisters and brothers around the globe to join me and David and say that “ now that Jesus is born to us, we shall fear no evil even though we walk through the shadow of death for we know that his Emmanuel / He is with us.

So Christmas is about know that a helper was born for you and so surrender everything to him, so mind a lot about creating a room for him in your heart that he may be born in your heart incase you haven’t accepted him as your personal savior and if you already accepted him/ please don’t let him go but cling unto him until he makes you a praise in Jesus’ mighty name. Be blessed child of God.
