Col 1:6 This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God's wonderful grace.
Rom 12:2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Eph 4:23-24 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
I believe as these verse tell us, and as so many others also tell us. The Word of God should change us into who God designed us to be. As the entire 4th chapter of Ephesians speaks of Unity of the Body. Over and over we hear, to change the way we think. What was important at one time no longer is, and what we never thought of before, becomes foremost in our thoughts. Maybe we were selfish, we transform into generous people. Those who carried grudges at one time, become able to forgive. Just as they have been forgiven. As we study and meditate on His Word. As we humble ourselves before the Lord and as verse 23 tells us. We let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes, we are then able to put on our new nature. Our nature created to be like God, which is righteous and Holy. And, as Rom 12:2 let God transform you into a new person, He does this by changing the way you think. After we have done this then we learn how to know His Will for us. The Word of God has the Power to, change the way we think. As a man thinks so he is... How we see one another. As each of us read the Word, for lack of a better word, it is filtered through each of us. We begin to see why we went through this or that, it was so we could better see what God’s Word means. Not just to us but, so we could show others who have gone through the same experiences. Then as we share they are able to see the Wisdom, that they could not see before. Let it all be to His Glory. Again, as Eph 4 also tells us about unity, about the Body. How we each have gifts to share with one another. These gifts build us up and closer to God, and to one another. So yes and Amen. We will be changed, in how we think and how we see things. Our new natures all to show God’s Love to His Body, and to the world. As the Body of Christ we are bringing Glory to Our Lord and Master, Jesus, the Father, and His Holy Spirit. To be changed in the likeness of His Dear Son. Can anyone think of a better reason to change. No longer fearing change, but striving towards change. Praise the Lord Most High.

i know to pray but how do i put it in action, but when i get the urge a strong urge what do i do?
how do you change your flesh, how do you not go and buy a pack of cigs. or drugs or alcohol. how do you line your flesh up with your mind?
Once you are born again, change becomes inevitable. For your new life involves change from your old ways to what is expected of you as a christian. Change is not always easy, as the new life involves sacrifices. On our own, we cannot achieve anything positive. We always need our Lord Jesus Christ to give us the strength and willpower to change. I know my willingness to change makes it easier in many ways because I am receptive to God's words. We need the support of one another through this faith journey. Father Lord help us all to imitate the ways of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ; to live in love, humilty and obedience to your words, in JMN I pray. Amen!
God bless
Lord Bless you both for sharing and encouraging . Your comments are confirmation and Bless me so very much. Catherine and JM even though though the words are a little different, we have His Word to stand on, "those that seek find..." "..He will give us the desires of our heart.." He wants obedience fueled by Love for Him. How wonderful it is to be a part of the Body of Christ. Lord Bless.
My dear Brother Chris, I am very happy to hear these words you have written with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I never was a big fan of change. That is something God continues to work on me about. Like a caterpillar that grows into a butterfly we all struggle to break out of "small cocoon" world and be transformed into God 's new creatures. I long for the changes now to come. Like a thirsty man for God's living water I pant and wait on him. Only God's word can fill our hunger. Let us Praise God together as one body!
Your Brother in Christ,
Andre
am willing to change for the better to become a good person. Amen
