BOUNCING BACK FROM CRITICISM : GOD'S WAY

When we have a heart of flesh,unhardened by the Spirit of God it can mean that we not only feel others pain but we are also open to personal wounds as well. Critism handled correctly the way God would have us handle it is very important in our Spiritual growth.

Proverbs 12:16-18
A wise person stays calm when insulted. An honest witness tells the truth;a false witness lies. Some people make cutting remarks,but the words of the wise bring healing.

If you are criticized,stay calm and don't lash out. Weigh out whether the criticism comes from someone who has a reputation for truth or lies. Stop to think if the criticism is meant to hurt or heal.

Ecclesiastes 7:5
It is better to be criticized by a wise person than to be praised by a fool.

Measure the criticism by the stature of the person who is giving it.

1 Corinthians 4:3-5
My conscience is clear,but that isn't what m(ters. It is the Lord Himself who will examine me and decide.

Always work on keeping a clear conscience by being honest and trustworthy. When we do this it enables us to shrug off criticism we know is unjustified.

1 Peter 4:14
Be happy if you are insulted for being a Christian,for then the glorious Spirit of God will come upon you.

Consider it the utmost privilege to be criticized for your faith in God. Special blessings await those who endure and understand this kind of criticism.

Proverbs 15:31-32
If you listen to constructive criticism,you will be at home among the wise.

We are shortchanging ourselves and our future when we reject truthful information about ourselves. Sometimes it is painful to hear the truth,but its far worse to carry on without growing in it.

Let those who have not sinned throw the first stone

When you say that they are wicked and should be punished,you are condemning yourself,for you do these very same things.

Before you criticize someone else, evaluate your own sins and shortcomings so sothat you can approach the person with understanding and humility.
