Arguments with supporting Scripture.

We, as Christians, should support our positions on any subject with scripture.  I will here admit that my blog posts thus far have been lacking in this regard.  And for this I apologize.  The only explanation that I can offer is my shameful lack of knowledge of the bible.  However, the use of one or two verses without regard to the adjacent verses or the context in which the supporting verse is used, is likewise shameful. 

I have stated in the very first blog post I submitted that everything that I offer is my opinion based on my reading and understanding.  I do not rely on one version of the Bible for my reading, often I will review the same verses in several versions.  Occasionally, I will also look at the Greek or Hebrew / Aramaic resources to determine the original words or the origin of the words given.  Sometimes, I will find that one translation has removed a verse, or has combined verses to make the reading easier.  When this happens, I then consider if the affected verse(s) were superfluous or redundant.  If this is the case, I ignore the redundancy and continue with my study.

I appreciate anyone and everyone that replies to my posts.  As it gives me a reason to revisit my opinion and investigate further.  Sometimes, I find that my opinion was in error, when that happens, I will respond to the reply with my apology and a brief explanation (as if brevity for me was possible) as to why I have recanted my position.

Also, I would appreciate your indulgence as I am not a Seminarian nor have I a college education.  I am for the most part, from the conclusion of eleventh grade, self-educated.  (That should evoke a few comments?)

All I know is that I Love Christ.  I believe that He shed His blood to cleanse me of my sin and that I look forward to His return.
