APPETITE (Part 2)

LORD CHANGE MY APPETITE
It is our appetite that draws us to do what we do and causes God to respond accordingly. “The laborer's appetite works for him; his hunger drives him on”. Proverbs 16:26

Our desires must therefore be right. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled”. Matthew 5:6

If one way or the other we have wrong appetites then they have to be changed and unless one is killed the other one cannot come-up.

Jesus knew this that was why the first place he went was the temple (which represents our hearts) to change their desires. “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves”. Matthew 21:12.

Just like he also did to the woman at the well, He had to expose her current appetite before giving her the new one. John 4:10-18

They had lost appetite for spiritual things just like we find happening today where desires are being controlled by worldly things.

There are desires, lifestyles or appetites that we need to do away with. But in our strength it’s impossible only God can. Philippians 2:3
Ours is to cry out to him to change our desires and then allow him to work on us.

O Lord we come to you just as we are. Change our appetites and grant us the right desires.

“… If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink!” John 7: 37
