A Simple Resolution

A Simple Resolution

As I face each day anew, I make a simple resolution,
I’ll pray for the survival of our Nation’s Constitution.
I’ll walk in the path that God lays out for me;
try to be a better person than I use to be.

I’ll not cry over yesterday or mistakes of the past,
I’ll not worry about the future or how long it will last.
I’ll try to be a better friend to those in need,
I’ll work to improve myself, and pray I succeed.

I’ll keep speaking God’s truths and stand on His word,
I’ll not be troubled by skeptics when my voice is unheard.
I’ll not let the doctrines of religion cause me to sway.
I’ll just keep spreading Love as I go on my way.

I’ll still look for Jesus, and believe He will come,
to make things better and deliver us from,
the evil in the world that has been unleashed.
for only when He comes will the world know Peace.
