Scriptural readings: I Timothy 4:1-3; II Timothy 3:1-5
I Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
I Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Getting things done is an easy thing to do these days. To get in touch with someone would only take a few seconds to do. Thanks to the breakthrough in science and technology. What if the opposite happens? Instead of getting in touch, we let go. There might be reasons why these things happen. Right? When our faith faces threat, we also face the realm of confusion and the presence of evil is just one utter of yes or just one touch away. We live in an environment where a lot of evil things are peddled. We cannot but engage with worldly affairs.
I Timothy 3: 2-3
v.2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
v.3 Forbidding to marry, [and commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
II Timothy 3
v.2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
v. 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
v. 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
v. 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
I think that these things are quite obvious. Read the newspapers. Watch the news on television, surf the internet. Aren't we having a lot of arguments with these issues? We are dealing with these issues every second we live in this modern world. For some, it is just a normal thing and this should not be the case.
God had already previewed these realities to us. These things are happening now and would surely be extended in the very near future. All of these things mentioned above will always come in to existence and its inevitable. A reality we will face day to day 24/7. We just have to hang on to our faith no matter what happens. There is no other way. At the end we were given the truth, an answer. From such turn away.
We have turn to Jesus. He is always the way the truth and the life.
Heavenly Father, these things that we face everyday are too much for us. There is no way that we can turn away from these unless we put our trust and faith on your Son Jesus Christ. Then and only then that from such we can turn away. Let your Holy spirit strengthen us as we follow your Son Jesus. In His might name we pray. Amen!
