All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

A Message from Godpart two.
“Good Day, Emma, Dylan, Debra, Gabi, Marco, Jessica __fill in your own name__...you ask, ‘Why Am I Here?’ You are here because I made you.  Not merely to be born and to die a mortal being with 80 or so years on Earth, but to have a relationship with Me, and that forever.  [See A Message from God, part one: https://conta.cc/3acHXjm ]
Can I let you in on a secret?  There are no words to adequately describe what you and I can share together, but I invite you to open your mind to such a love, such a greatness.  As you consider such a possibility, will you now open your heart to Me?
Come on … step closer.
you have never known
a love so deep,
a love so rich,
a love so complete,
a love so satisfying
that nothing can keep out.1
How do you think a man could write from a cold,
damp first century prison cell that he was content?

Why, it makes no sense!  Was he insane?  The words from his pen establish otherwise.   Radical conversion from being an arrogant religious person to a sold-out follower2 of a resurrected Messiah to a lover of people who would go to any length, endure any hardship to tell others of the truth of Me.3  Truly, Paul would do anything to pass on what was for him the most fulfilling relationship on earth, aye, and forever.
Consider for a moment this 20th century man who knew Me, had relationship through Jesus, then renounced Me and looked back wistfully over his shoulder as the curtain was about to come down on his life.  Put yourself in this man’s shoes when he was asked by an interviewer to think again of Jesus.4  Here is how he responded:
It was as if he suddenly felt relaxed and comfortable in talking about an old and dear friend. His voice, which at times had displayed such a sharp and insistent edge, now took on a melancholy and reflective tone. His guard seemingly down, he spoke in an unhurried pace, almost nostalgically, carefully choosing his words as he talked about Jesus.

“He was the greatest human being who has ever lived. He was a moral genius. His ethical sense was unique. He was the intrinsically wisest person that I’ve ever encountered in my life or in my readings. His commitment was total and led to his own death, much to the detriment of the world. What could one say about him except that this was a form of greatness?”

“You sound like you really care about him,” the interviewer observed.
“Well, yes, he is the most important thing in my life,” came his reply. “I . . . I . . . I . . . ,” he stuttered, searching for the right word, ‘I know it may sound strange, but I have to say . . . I adore him!” . . .

” . . . Everything good I know, everything decent I know, everything pure I know, I learned from Jesus. Yes . . . yes. And tough! Just look at Jesus. He castigated people. He was angry. People don’t think of him that way, but they don’t read the Bible. He had a righteous anger. He cared for the oppressed and exploited. There’s no question that he had the highest moral standard, the least duplicity, the greatest compassion, of any human being in history. There have been many other wonderful people, but Jesus is Jesus….’

“Uh . . . but . . . no,’ he said slowly, ‘he’s the most . . .” He stopped, then started again. “In my view,” he declared, “he is the most important human being who has ever existed.”

“And if I may put it this way,” he said as his voice began to crack, ‘I . . . miss . . . him!”

With that tears flooded his eyes. He turned his head and looked downward, raising his left hand to shield his face from me. His shoulders bobbed as he wept. . . .

My child, do not come to the end of your life and realize what you missed in close relationship with Me.  I do not come to you with an offer of religion or rules or regiment, no, I offer to you My hand.  Come now and get to know Me for yourself.  ‘But, but how?’ You ask. Start with reading of Jesus who came just for you, just to be with you forever. [how about starting with Jesus’ first miracle in John chapter two?]5   At just the right time, Christ came6 . . . and today is the right time to welcome Him.

Why are you here?  For relationship with Me which is made possible through Jesus.  When you seek Me with all your heart you will find Me7.  Though your sin separates you from Me – by accepting what Jesus did on the cross, you are forgiven.  I love you.  Just like you are, I love you.  Come home to Me.”
