Taking a Journey with the Apostle John – Part XII

1 John 3:1

 Today’s article is probably the shortest article I will ever write and at the same time one of the most powerful. Today I will give you a brief “Pep-talk.”

 “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1 NIV

 The Bible is so clear in this verse.

 “P” stands for Ponder: Ponder the great love of God and the privilege, honor and blessing we receive in accepting Jesus as our Savior that we should be called “children of God.”

 “E” stands for embrace: Embrace the truth that as believers we are children of God. The Bible states clearly, “that is what we are.” Do not let any steal away your joy or cause you to doubt your position on Christ.

 “P” stands for praise: Give God praise, glory and honor for this gift, the gift of becoming a child of God. This gift is greater than we can understand or imagine. We are no longer children of the earth. We are His forever and He is ours!!!

 “Talk” stands for speaking to the Father: Talk to the Father. You have been granted access to Him. You do not come as a servant, but as His child. He will always hear you and answer you.
