All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

If I were to ask you this: Would you like to taste this C8-H10-N4-02.+H2O+C12.H22.O11+H2FCI ? You would definitely be very skeptical about it, unless I tell you that these are chemical formulas. Even after me telling you that, you would still be wondering “formulas for what?” But, if I was to offer you a cup of coffee with sugar and milk, it would make the difference in the world for you wouldn’t it?
When it comes to the gospel of Jesus, we might be doing the same thing to people that don’t know a thing about the saving power of it. We understand Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. We understand who God is. We understand why we worship. We understand our hope of eternal life with God. Saying that; I believe that some of us try to tell people everything we’ve come to know in year of being in church, in one sitting. If you really think about it, we might confuse people just like the example I gave you above with the cup of coffee. Let me give you the formula for salvation. Ready?
ME-R-CY.+GR-AC-E.+JE-SU-S.=SALVATION
For God so loved the world that He gave Jesus... (John 3:16)
Here’s a look at what salvation is all about: Ephesians 2:7-9 (Message version). Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish! We don't play the major role. If we did, we'd probably go around bragging that we'd done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.Let’s go out there and share the same Mercy, Grace, and Jesus that someone once shared with us. Let’s do it in a relevant way. Let us be compassionate towards the lost. Let us remember that it’s eternity that we’re talking about. We should start with our families, then our friends and neighbors. God doesn’t want anyone to perish.
The next time you’re tempted to say “I’m bored” remind yourself that there are many souls going into eternity without Jesus. Also remind yourself that you have the power to help these people. Let us pray that God gives us compassion towards the lost. Let’s glorify Him in this!!!

For His Glory
