"8-Days" through her eyes: a film about modern day slavery

Hey Everyone:

I am working on a movie called 8-Days directly with the Director, Jaco Booyens, and his wife, who is the Screenwriter, Philipa Booyens!  I should be getting a copy of the script today or tomorrow to work on editing and continuity.  I will also be assisting with media and promotions.  We will be shooting the film here in the Dallas area for ten days, beginning the first week in August. 

8 days is the true story of a seventeen year old girl who was homeschooled .  On her very first date she was kidnapped and sold as a sex slave right here in the U.S. 

This is such an exciting project to help raise public awareness of how serious the sex trade industry is here in the U.S.  All of the talent and proceeds from the film are being donated to safe houses for boys and girls who have been victims of this horrific crime, which is second only to drug trafficking.

The title song was written and sung by a couple of the kids, Bryson and Olivia, "Of Rocks and Roots" who are members of Actors, Models and Talent for Christ.

I ‘m helping Philipa with editing the script for continuity and also in the final credit/titles and editing of the film and … assisting with the media promotion, booking interviews for Jaco & Philipa, and posting to social media the filming events as the film progresses. 

We need help in finding various locations for shooting scenes for the film, specific vehicles, a helicopter for the abduction scene and many other items.  We also will be needing help with food and  beverages to be donated for the crew. Please put your thinking caps on to see how God may use you to participate in this project.  

Anyone or any company making donations will be given tax deductible receipts (since the film is being produced by a 501 (c)(3) organization) as well as credits in the film.  Everyone who helps contribute to the film, even in the smallest way, will be given credit in the movie.  

We are hosting a silent auction on June 14^th  and already some of the Dallas football players and others are making contributions to assist with the making of this film. 

AND … if you would like to audition to be in the movie … anyone is welcome and encouraged to audition! Parts are available from ages 4 to 60.  So, if you’ve ever wanted to be in pictures … here’s your chance! 

You may be thinking that there is nothing you can do if you don’t live in the Dallas area.  Wrong!  We need prayer partners.  Will you please send me an email back and let me know that you will be praying for this film beginning today and especially for each day of the shooting of the film?  This is so important because we know that God is going to use this film mightily to help rescue America’s children from this terrible injustice.
