hello dennis, your mind can only accommodate one thought at a time.

so when you find your mind is thinking evil, change the thought to something not evil.

for example, the thought of suicide comes to your mind, that's evil, right?

eject that suicide thought, and replace it with the thought that life is beautiful, full of love and beauty.

every time an evil thought comes to your mind, replace it with lovely thought until a smile comes to your face.

so do these often, everyday in fact, and then one day you'll find you're not capable of thinking evil anymore.

Praise God for Who He is, He is full of love, mercy, kindness and faithfulness. Tell this to Him, tell Him how good He is, how faithful and merciful and kind He is. Start now.
Pray that God's will be done in your life on earth as it is in heaven and only His will, pray with thankfulness....
Read the scriptures, listen to the scriptures, meditate on God's Word and believe in His death and resurrection and and esteem the blood of Jesus above all and tell Him that.
It is so important, extremely important what we listen to before we go to bed and during the day, let your ears hear only praises to God and make sure it is singing about the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus.
You are welcome to come to my page and listen to any worship songs I have and you are free to copy and paste anything the Lord leads you to.
After you asked God to forgive you of anything you allowed in your life that was not from Him and goes against Him, start thanking Him for giving you your sound mind. God loves you and you are the apple of His eyes, He is your sheperd, your redeemer, the glory and the lifter of your head, He fights your battles for you and He takes care of all your enemies "these evil thoughts you are speaking about".
Jesus says: Come to me all ye who weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. Go to Jesus and focus on the cross, rest there and wait for Him patiently.
