My Valentine

My gorgeous daughter Nena was born 8 years ago on Valentines Day. I can't think of a better gift. No box of chocolate, flowers, jewelry or cards could ever be more special than this precious PRECOCIOUS child. Mind you as a single mom, the idea of chocolate, flowers, jewelry or cards would not even be an option (not that I ever got them while I was married or dating for that matter...in fact even in school I was the kid that got no valentines in my box either) (awww...) At any rate, God has more than made up for my lack of valentines and cupids (even though I still want them) by giving me the most glorious gift of all....my little girl. Now he also blessed me with a son and he is sweet and cute and wonderful, but little girls are SOOOO much fun to dress up and play with. Wow I am so grateful to be blessed with someone that likes to try on my perfume, wear my shoes, put on my lipstick (and tell me what shade she thinks is better) and best of all she loves me just as I am.

This was a blessed Valentines Day for our household. I love my children and thank God everyday for the extra special valentine He has entrusted to me. She is wonderful, bright, happy, funny, sweet, loving, smart and a great little drama queen too.
