Lost and Confused
I am looking to find out more about Believers Baptism. I've read the passages in the Bible (via the net) but am still confused - as a Catholic I was raised that Baptism was a rite of initation. Now I'm learning that there is more to it. Was I wrong to believe in how I was raised? Was I wrong for having my children Baptized in the Faith? And as I look more into this, am I still honoring my father and my mother? - as I feel if I move forward that I'd be indirectly telling them that they were wrong. Has anyone else felt like this?

Yes dear Robin, You did well to baptize your children ; I am also Catholic,and I also believe that it is not required to have a full body emersion ,unless we really want to because Our Lord and Father knows our hearts and It says in the bible ; that He will take us where we ar. There are no written in stone laws to the contary. Yes you are Honoring your parents as the bible also says; so dont worry about that either! You dont need to tell anyone you were wrong; because it is only the Father we need to say if we were wrong on something dear. There is so much info on this any many more subjects for you to research. Dont let any one make you feel guilty dear Robin, They are only speaking from limited their own knowlege. God will take us right where we are; and It also says that Those who have much; Much will be required of them. And yes I have felt like this most of my life till recently. Knowledge is power dear.
