If the Victor is living in you, victory is not just a possibility. It's yours for the taking!
Are you a Christian and still wondering why you’re the victim of so many calamities? Life is not fair. The fact is that you’re living in an imperfect world inside a decaying body of flesh. How victorious is that!
But… you have the DNA of a victor! You may not feel like a winner because you’re subject to emotions, and they are controlled by the soul. First and foremost, though, you are spirit, infused by the Holy Spirit, who lives in you.
You have the power to decide whether you want to be controlled by your emotions or by the still, small voice that encourages and guides you through all things.
“Thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. (2 Cor. 2: 14)
Did the above verse really say that God always causes us to triumph? That’s a powerful statement. God said it; therefore you know it is true!
The second part of the verse explains that wherever you go, you demonstrate your delight in knowing God. Even when you feel down because you haven’t been able to overcome certain issues yet, those around you sense that there’s something about you that they need and want. The more you walk in faith and victory, the more you display the Source of your blessings.
The secret to having the winning edge over your circumstances is simply your faith:
“This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5: 4)
Those who try in their own strength soon give up as without faith there is no hope. But you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! (Phil. 4: 3)
There are many who expect God to work a miracle in their life. But they want it instantly, on their terms, and in desperation rather than expectation. Jesus Christ came in the flesh in order to give you abundant life. This means abundance in all things, including health and finances. God does His part, but you have a part to play as well.
Your part in the equation is to believe that He has already purchased your victory on the cross, and then to walk it out with patience and expectation. It is already done! The walking-the-walk is not always easy, especially if you don’t see a clear path through the fog of disillusionment, trials and pain. That’s why you need to cast your burden totally on Him and be buoyed up with His strength.
Every morning is new, and so are His blessings. In order to get out from under the yoke, you need to have an intimate relationship with your Savior. After starting your day with praise and thanksgiving, reading the Word, and quiet meditation, you will hear His voice.
This daily encounter will become very precious as you practice to be enveloped in His peace and meditate on His Word throughout your day. His presence is tangible, His Word guides you, and anxiety gradually will give way to joy.
Faith needs to be nourished. The more you practice it, the more it grows and carries you above your circumstances. It’s His Promise! It’s all yours for the taking!
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.” (Isa. 40: 31)
“Trust in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” (1 Tim. 6: 17)
